Quite simply, living foods are foods that are prepared in such a way, that they are still considered alive. Among other things, these foods gift our bodies with nutrients for good cell replenishment (which helps keep skin youthful and vibrant), and energy to power through the day. Living foods come from leafy green plants, sprouts, green grasses, certain fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains and seaweed.
Living foods are essential to a healthy lifestyle. They help “starve off” unhealthy cells while flooding our bodies with oxygen-rich chlorophyll, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and fiber. When we eat a plant-based diet full of living foods, the energy from the food is transferred to our bodies. We’re literally consuming living energy, which in turn, leads us to be more alive. The more alive we feel, the more our eyes and awareness become open to the possibilities of the world around us and all that life has to offer.
