When might it be?
Will it be when you lose weight?
Will it be when you tone up?
Will it be when you get your nose done?
Will it be when your hair grows out?
Will it be when you can fit into those jeans?
Will it be when he asks you out?
Will it be once you’ve had sex?
Will it be when you start to go to the gym?
Will it be when you eat perfectly all the time?
Will it be when you get liposuction?
Will it be when you get botox?
Will it be when someone tells you your beautiful?
Will it be when he notices you?
Will it be when you put on makeup?
Will it be when you’re 30?
Will it be when you’re 40?
Will it be when you’re 50?
Will it be when you’re 60?
Will it be when you’re 70?
Will it be when you’re 80?
When will it be?
When will it be beautiful you? When will you gently proclaim or boldly state that you are over it? The worry, the obsession, the thinking about what others are thinking, the numbers, the clothes tags, the swimsuit shopping.
When will you awaken to the fact that you only get one life – one body – one chance? And hating it does not serve you. In any way.
That one life and one body and one chance need you, yes need you, to love yourself and your body right now. No matter what you may want to change or improve or alter or simply accept. No matter. Because to do any of these things with any chance of feeling good and positive and loveable long term, requires you to lovingly accept where you are right now. Only true love allows us to change the way we feel and our actions and behaviours with it. Or simply embrace and accept and love where we are with no change or constriction or punishment. Only true love feels good. Everything else you might be doing? It’s not true love.
True love for you means you love yourself right now. All of you. The flaws, the imperfections, the bumps, the lumps, the curves, the angles. All of you.
Love yourself and your body just a little bit more today. No waiting or when will it be’s allowed. Just what feels good and true for you.
And show all those around you how’s it’s done. You’ll start a revolution.
I’m in. Are you?
