Celebrate at Home | Welcoming Fall
This Friday is the first official day of fall. Hooray! Fall is my absolute favorite season and enjoying a crisp evening dinner amidst the leaves changing is a tiny celebration in itself. As the first official day of fall approaches, the anticipation for cozy sweaters, pumpkin-spiced everything, and the vibrant hues of autumn leaves starts to build. There’s something magical about the crispness in the air that invites us to slow down and savor the season. It’s indeed a time for embracing change and finding joy in the simple pleasures like a tranquil evening meal surrounded by nature’s artistry. Cheers to a season filled with warmth, comfort, and new beginnings!
We enjoyed a family dinner as a welcome to this beautiful season with the comfort food of homemade meatballs. Meatballs along with any hearty pasta dish are great transition meals for early fall dinners. We’ve also made the seasonal switch from white to red wine and placed it family style on the table along with thick wood and dark metal accessories, easy fall elements to incorporate on any table.
One of the prettiest ways to transition a fall table is to bring in deep, dark floral tones. As the season sets in, many of our flowers of choice will be disappearing over the coming months, using deep dark floral fabric allows for their beauty to continue on in our fall and winter celebrations. I found this vintage floral tablecloth here in Reno (a very happy score!) and plan to use it throughout the season.
I would love to hear of any ideas you might have brewing for making an outdoor space work well this fall. I am looking forward to many more chilly outdoor evenings throughout the season. Wishing you a happy start to fall this week!
As we embrace the beauty of fall and find joy in celebrate at home, let’s savor the moments that this cozy season brings. Whether it’s enjoying pumpkin-spiced treats, cozying up with a warm blanket, or simply relishing the crisp autumn air, there are countless ways to welcome fall into our homes. Share with us in the comments how you plan to celebrate this special season – your ideas may inspire others to create their own memorable moments at home. Let’s make this fall a time of warmth, gratitude, and cherished memories shared within the comfort of our own spaces.
